The fourth edition of the VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro is almost upon us and will take place from 28th to 30th of June 2019. Technically tingling trails and the combination of professional and amateur athletes make the appeal of this international 3-stage race of the “UCI category S2” in the beautiful Engadine Mountains.
The 2019 Edition route enhancements are exceptional and there are even more breathtaking trails and sections to explore than in previous years. Spectacular is already the new opening stage on Friday afternoon. Thanks to the new partnerships with Engadin St. Moritz Mountains and the Corvatsch Ski Service, the start of the Individual Time Trial will take place on Piz Nair, which is over 3000 meters high. The destination is, after 27 varied kilometers, again on St. Moritz-Salastrains. The second stage remains the queen stage with start and finish in Silvaplana. Another highlight follows on the final third day of the international UCI race, with a start in Silvaplana and a route through ravines and on trails over Sils, Maloja and Corvatsch back to Silvaplana. Finally, all bikers expect three exciting race days.
The organizers of the Sauser Event GmbH from Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, expect up to 400 mountainbikers to participate in the Engadin in 2019 as well. The online registration is open until 22nd of June. The popular and attractive hotel packages of the Engadine hosts are also back in the program and can be booked together with the event registration.
